As the celebrations for the Liverpool City of Culture commence, all eyes were on our stack of 20ft Ravenstock MSG Containers. The European Capital of Culture festival stared with an opening ceremony led by Ex Beatle Ringo Starr and Dave Stewart. This was followed by two nights of musical entertainment in Liverpool with a further 350 planned events throughout 2008. But the star attraction was the 28 Ravenstock containers that were stacked, seven units high, to support the two main vertical stages. One of our containers was even placed on the roof of St Georges Hall for Ringo Starr to play his drums on! Ravenstock's Liverpool Branch demonstrated a first class level of service by delivering all 28 containers, 24hours after they received the initial order from Liverpool City Council. The Liverpool City of Culture celebrations, along with an excellent view of our brand name, was estimated to have been broadcast to over 300 million people worldwide with over 40,000 spectators visiting Lime Street to watch the first show. It was featured on both the BBC and ITV National News and on an hour long special of The Culture Show. 
November 2007 Ravenstock Containers used by creative schoolchildren Steel containers supplied by Ravenstock MSG’s Bristol depot have been converted into ‘play pods’ as part of an innovative project to help schoolchildren in their local area. The containers have been packed with leftover materials that youngsters can use for any type of creative play they choose. Over the following month, the containers will leave Bristol to travel to nine schools across Bath, North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire as part of a pilot project funded by a grant from the National Lottery Playful Ideas Programme.
