ALLMIThe Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers (ALLMI) is the UK's only Trade Association devoted exclusively to the lorry loader industry. Established in 1978, ALLMI's membership has always consisted of the UK's leading loader crane manufacturers, service companies and ancillary equipment manufacturers, but in February 2006 it formed the Operators' Forum, a new division specifically for fleet owners.The Operators' Forum has the objective of raising the standard of safety and professionalism amongst operators of lorry loaders. Now in its second year, it has clearly become the 'voice' for the industry and its members are widely recognised as leading the way in terms of quality and standards. ALLMI General Manager, Tom Wakefield, comments 'as a founder member of the Operators' Forum, Ravenstock MSG is clearly a company with health and safety at the top of its agenda and we hope that with its continued support, and that of other leading fleet operators, the Forum will go from strength to strength to the benefit of everyone involved with the lorry loader industry.' Due to ALLMI's close links with the Health and Safety Executive, the loader crane manufacturers and the British, European and International Loader Crane Standards Committees, Ravenstock and other Forum members not only have the opportunity to consult upon and possibly influence forthcoming changes in standards and legislation affecting the industry, they also have access to advice and guidance on all aspects of lorry loader use, such as health and safety matters, documentation, technical issues, legislation compliance and operator training, and so can rightly claim that they operate to the very highest standards.
